Toronto Water and Transportation Services Program
TMIG has been retained by the City’s Engineering and Construction Services group to manage a portion of the City’s Capital Works Program.
Scope of Services
TMIG is providing engineering services to coordinate, design, provide consultation services, and integrate social procurement for a portion of the City’s Capital Works Program for a span of three capital construction years (2018, 2019, and 2020). Services include program management, risk management, project management, data collection, preliminary design, detailed design, services during construction, and post-construction services. Primary assignments stemming from this program include watermain and sanitary sewer replacements, local and arterial road improvements, and stormwater management projects.
In the 2018 capital year alone, TMIG is replacing a cumulative 9.2km of watermain to improve deteriorating infrastructure and meet increased demand from new local development, such as the Humber River Hospital expansion. The pipes range in size from 150mm to 600mm in diameter. The 2018 capital year also includes the replacement of 292m of 225mm-diameter sanitary sewer and 193m of 2,900mm x 1,825mm horizontal elliptical storm corrugated steel pipe (CSP).
