King City Master Plans and Urbanization Study
The Township is undertaking Water, Wastewater, and Stormwater Master Plans to assist in planning for the anticipated growth in the communities of King City, Nobleton, and Schomberg. These Master Plans will support short -and long-term capital budgeting for water, wastewater, and stormwater core servicing, and will assist in the preparation of the updated Development Charges By-Law.
Scope of Services
The Master Plans will optimize the efficiency of the Township’s current infrastructure, and identify where and how additional capacity may be provided to address the needs of the new greenfield development areas outside of the current built boundary, and redevelopment and intensification within the built boundary.
The Water and Wastewater Master Plans will identify required system upgrades and will also recommend long-term monitoring programs to assist the Township in confirming that the desired levels of service are being maintained. The Stormwater Master Plan will be considered in conjunction with the Urbanization Study in order to coordinate streetscaping improvements through the community cores, while potentially incorporating stormwater management Low Impact Development (LID) design elements.
