Humberwest Parkway and Goreway Drive
This project consisted of the design and installation of a total of 5.4km of 900mm- and 750mm-diameter concrete pressure pipe (CPP) watermains. The installation of the first watermain contract included 1200mm, 900mm, 600mm, and 400mm diameters of 2.5km open cut and 700mm tunnel in two drives, as well as a live tap connection to the existing 900mm, 600mm, and 400mm watermains. The project included connections at the Region’s Airport Reservoir Zone 4 pipe in Cottrelle Boulevard. There were several miscellaneous connections along the alignment to the distribution system using PVC and CPP.
Scope of Services
TMIG’s scope of services included staged design, contract documentation preparation, and coordination with utility companies, including the City of Brampton Roads and Traffic Departments.
Project highlights included extensive coordination with other projects in the study area (Cottrelle Boulevard improvements), utilities, the City of Brampton, Highway 407, and all works adjacent to and crossing the main arterial roads.
