Black Creek SPS Upgrades
TMIG completed the condition assessment and preliminary and detailed design of the 1320L/s Black Creek SPS upgrades project. The project includes upgrades to life, health and safety, site and property, process, building mechanical, electrical, SCADA, and instrumentation and control, which includes the replacement of the station master control panel.
Scope of Services
TMIG is providing project management, detailed design, contract administration, and site inspection services. The project scope includes rehabilitation, upgrades, replacements, and maintenance to improve the facility and wastewater collection system security. The work includes the addition of a new pump, replacement of valving and piping for all pumps, replacement of service water piping and life safety systems, new scrubber / odour control system to deal with H2S and chlorine issues, electrical control system modifications throughout the station, revisions to standby power facilities, regrading of the site, and new entrance driveway.
A key consideration of the project will be staging the upgrades such that the existing facility can maintain in operation. The odour control system is unique as it deals with high concentrations of chlorine gas from upstream industrial facilities.
