York – Keswick South Watermain, Forcemains, Joe Dales PS Upgrades and Woodbine Avenue Widening

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project involves 8 kilometres of trunk 750 mm feedermain, from an existing trunk watermain on Woodbine Avenue to the Keswick Reservoir, and 7 kilometres of twin 500 mm diameter forcemains from the Joe Dales PS to the Keswick Water Pollution Control Plant along with upgrades to the Joe Dales PS and 5 kilometres of road reconstruction of Woodbine Avenue in the Town of Georgina.

SCOPE OF SERVICES

For the Region of York, The Municipal Infrastructure Group Ltd. is currently providing full engineering services to complete a Schedule "B” Class Environmental Assessment, detailed design, inspection and contract administration. Project includes hydraulic and transient analysis of the forcemains and tunnels under the Maskinonge River. The road re-construction involves the widening of the road from a 2 lane rural cross-section to a 5 lane urban/rural cross-section.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

This project is being undertaken under tight time lines to deliver critical infrastructure required to permit development to continue within the Town of Georgina.
