Region of Peel - Beckett Sproule Reservoir and Pumping Station Upgrades

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

TMIG are undertaking a condition assessment, preliminary and detailed design of the 800 ML/d Beckett Sproule Reservoir and Pumping Station, located in Peel Region, in conjunction with the Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA). The project includes upgrades to: process piping and valving (600mm – 1050mm dia.) replacement, service water plumbing, low lift and high lift pump seal water piping and valving enhancement, as well as pipe restraint and thrust block design.

SCOPE OF SERVICES

TMIG will be providing Project Management, Detailed Design, and Commissioning services. The project scope includes upgrades and replacements to improve the facility’s operation and maintenance. The work includes the replacement and selection of new butterfly valves with a particular emphasis on non-slam check valves to minimize transient pressures during pump start-up and shut-down, service water and low-lift, high-lift pump seal water piping and valving replacement, as well as pipe restraint and thrust block design.
