Peel Region – Watermain Replacements (ISF) Mississauga, Ontario

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project involves replacement of over 8km of ductile iron watermains in 18 locations within the City of Mississauga. The watermains range from 50mm copper to 400mm concrete pressure pipe, and are installed in quiet residential streets, industrial business parks, and major arterial roads.

SCOPE OF SERVICES

For Peel Region, The Municipal Infrastructure Group Ltd. is providing full engineering services including complete detailed design, inspection and contract administration for the replacement of these watermains.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

This project is being undertaken under the tight timelines stipulated by the requirements of the Federal Infrastructure Stimulus Funding (ISF) program. The detailed design and project tendering of the full works were completed within four months.   This project was one of six comparable assignments for the Region, and TMIG was the first of the six design firms to advance their complete assignment to the tendering process.
