York – Keswick South, Joe Dales PS Upgrades

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Joe Dales Pumping Station Upgrades consists of all mechanical, electrical and building services work to increase its capacity from 56L/s to 334L/s, as well as various other facility upgrades to bring the station into compliance with York Region Standards. This project is part of a larger project that includes 8 kilometres of trunk feedermain, 7 kilometres of twin 500 mm diameter forcemains, and 5 kilometres of road reconstruction.

SCOPE OF SERVICES

For the Region of York, The Municipal Infrastructure Group Ltd. is currently providing full engineering services to complete a Schedule "B” Class Environmental Assessment, detailed design, inspection, and contract administration.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

Project includes new pumps and drives, a new standby power system, new VFD MCC’s, new instrumentation and control systems, mechanical bar screen for incoming sewage, health and safety enhancement, architectural modifications, and hydraulic and transient analysis of the forcemains.
