Our firm was founded on the philosophy that investing in our people is investing in our business. It is our mandate to provide the tools, opportunities, and resources needed to support individual success, however it may be defined.
As we grow, we maintain a strong commitment to attracting the industry’s top talent who exemplify our core values and have the right knowledge, skills, and experience. We are also dedicated to maintaining an environment free from barriers, one that respects the dignity, ideas, and beliefs of all individuals.
We’re a people-first company. Trust, respect, honesty, and diversity are foundational to our success. Our staff and leaders care.
Our environment fosters productivity and creativity. We want happy, healthy employees who are passionate about the work we do.
We pursue innovative and exciting projects that are meaningful and make a positive impact on our communities.
A sense of personal ownership and responsibility is encouraged in everything we do.
Our leaders are accountable and inspire our team with vision, guidance, and purpose to achieve personal and professional goals.
We focus on solutions and avoid the blame-game. We own it, solve it, and get the job done.
Work-life balance is not just a goal, it’s a reality. We understand that making your personal life a priority means you can be at your best when you come to work.
Having fun is part of our day-to-day. We allow ourselves plenty of laughter and encourage breaks throughout the day as needed.
We support the maintenance of your physical, mental, and emotional health.
A job well done does not go unnoticed. We celebrate our successes, both personal and professional.
We provide outlets for staff to communicate and seek reprieve to recharge and avoid burn-out.
Professional development happens through challenging projects, available resources, ongoing training, and mentorship opportunities.
We stay ahead of the curve through new technology and processes. We ask everyone to bring their innovative ideas to the table.
Each person can improve and advance to where they want to be. We want to know what your goals are and figure out how we can help you reach them.
We urge everyone to share their ideas, thoughts, and opinions.
Egos are checked at the door. Questions like, “How could we have done this better?” are key to our growth and success.
Whether through corporate challenge events, weekly yoga classes, inter-office hockey pools, holiday fundraisers, or competitive ping pong, we believe in enjoying the time spent with the people we work with each and every day. TMIG’s commitment to employee satisfaction and engagement has helped form the culture that we are known and respected for.
There are many different ways to get involved and feel part of the team. Just some of what TMIG has to offer includes:
- Group Fitness: To promote the health and well-being of our staff, we offer unlimited access to our in-house gym, equipped with cardio machines, free weights, and a cable crossover machine. For those looking for more of a challenge, we also have a personal trainer come in twice a week to lead group conditioning classes.
- Yoga and Massage Therapy: Our employees benefit from weekly in-house yoga sessions led by an experienced yoga practitioner who focuses on flexibility, meditation, and stress relief. Our Registered Massage Therapist offers biweekly half-hour therapy sessions focused on any areas of concern, including shoulder tension and neck strains common to desk-related jobs.
- Corporately-Funded Social Events: Wine tasting, axe throwing, treetop trekking, Go Kart racing—these are just some of the summer team-building events that TMIG has coordinated over the years. We use this time to put aside our work, let loose, and enjoy each other’s company outside of the office. Our annual Holiday Party, usually hosted by the Old Mill in Toronto, is also a legendary event that cannot be missed.
- Community Involvement: Our people share a common passion for supporting and engaging with the communities in which we live and work. Through sponsorships, donations, fundraising campaigns, and volunteering, we are active community members interested in fostering positive relationships and contributing to the well-being of our communities. Some of the fundraising events we regularly participate in include the Heart and Stroke Ride for Heart, Sporting Life 10km run in support of Camp Oochigeas, and the Race for Humanity in support of Habitat for Humanity GTA.
