Kimvar Enterprises - Friday Harbour

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Friday Harbour Resort is a mixed-use, recreation-based development in the Town of Innisfil. The development is to be located on approximately 239 hectares of land bounded by Big Bay Point Road to the north and west, Thirteenth Line to the south and Lake Simcoe to the east.

The proposed Friday Harbour Resort will be a pedestrian friendly "new urbanist” style resort community consisting of a mix of resort residential, commercial, entertainment and recreational uses. The Resort is proposed to be an all season destination, and will include a residential area, a marina, a championship golf course, a recreation area, a theatre, hotels and conference facilities.

SCOPE OF SERVICES

The Municipal Infrastructure Group Ltd. is providing design services for new internal and external water, sanitary and stormwater infrastructure to supplement the design services being provided by SCS Consulting Group Ltd for the BBPRD project, located north of Alcona on the shores of Lake Simcoe and Kempenfelt Bay.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

The infrastructure includes: two sanitary pumping stations, one internal to the development and one external, with provision to include existing residential areas beyond Big Bay Point Rd.; a water storage facility; four stormwater pumping stations including an optimization exercise between pumping capacity and equivalent storage.
